Michael Weeks MD

As a dedicated psychotherapist with a rich background in mental health, I began my journey as a licensed clinical social worker, focusing on addiction treatment. This foundation was further strengthened through my role as a psychology instructor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My commitment to mental health deepened in 2009 when I returned to medical school, adding a vital layer of medical expertise to my practice. Today, as a psychiatrist, I integrate this medical insight with a strong emphasis on psychodynamic psychotherapy. While I am qualified in medication management, my approach prioritizes psychotherapy, offering a more holistic and patient-centered treatment.
